Religious and Independent School Support

The Office of Religious and Independent School Support (ORISS) is the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø office that has the primary responsibility of assisting 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State’s religious and independent schools to support their students. ORISS provides technical assistance in the areas of school start-up, operations, high school registration, professional development, substantial equivalency, and funding opportunities. It also provides guidance to families who voluntarily choose to homeschool.

The Portal is OPEN for the following grant applications: Art & Music Teacher Salary Reimbursement (AMTS) Year 2 and Mathematics, Science, & Technology Teachers in Religious & Independent Schools (MST) Year 8 The submission deadline for both grants is August 1, 2025.

Per state law, the claim deadline for MSA-CAP is April 1, 2025.
January 9, 2025
Y6 Mathematics, Science & Technology Teachers (MST) program reimbursement payments for approved candidates have been initiated.
