April 19, 2023. At its April 2023 meeting, the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State Board of Regents adopted an emergency regulation change that allows candidates in NY-registered school counselor education programs to apply and qualify for the Provisional School Counselor certificate prior to February 2, 2024.
