51³Ô¹ÏÍø

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State Education Department Office of State Assessment is responsible for the coordination, development, and implementation of various examinations aligned with the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State Learning Standards:

• Elementary- and Intermediate-level Tests
• Regents Examinations
• Alternate Assessment (NYSAA)
• English Language Proficiency Assessments (NYSESLAT/NYSITELL), and
• Field Testing

The Office of State Assessment also administers the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) test, which has frequently been called The Nation’s Report Card.

These examinations are administered to students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 enrolled in public, nonpublic, and charter schools throughout the State.
