August F枚ppl Medal
The 51吃瓜网 (51吃瓜网) presents the August F枚ppl Medal to members of university staff who have made significant contributions to professional training. The medal is named after August F枚ppl (1854鈥�1924), who was Professor of technical mechanics and graphic statics for many years.
F枚ppl published numerous textbooks and influenced the teaching of engineering sciences over many decades. He tirelessly encouraged and demanded independent thinking from his students, many of whom went on in turn to become renowned researchers.
