Session 1: Impulse. Change. Impact. A Spotlight on the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø: Junge Akademie
Constanze Kukula & Dennis Lehmann, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Junge Akademie

Founded in 2010, the Junge Akademie prepares 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s talents early on for successful careers in academia, under the guidance of the respective Executive Vice Presidents Academic and Student Affairs. Beyond that, the program serves as a laboratory for innovative formats that are tested both within the university and across society – and integrated into existing structures when they demonstrate positive impact.

Session 2: Workshop: Studying with Disabilities for Newbies: What Does It Mean and What Support Structures are Available at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø?
Andrea Kick & Verena Weltz-Huber, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø CST – Student Advising and Information Services

Around 16 percent of students in Germany live with a condition that affects their studies. The likelihood of encountering this topic in student interactions is therefore quite high.

This session offers an introduction to legal frameworks, common conditions, and current statistics on the study situation. It also presents 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s advisory services and options for compensation for disadvantages. The workshop is especially aimed at staff members who have not yet dealt extensively with the topic but would like to learn more. Colleagues with experience in supporting students with disabilities are warmly invited to contribute their knowledge and join the discussion.

Session 1: Annual Reports from the QM’s Perspective – Why and How They Work
Dr. André Utrap, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø CST – Quality Management

As a central monitoring tool in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s quality management system, the annual reports of degree programs have undergone several iterations in terms of form and function. With each change in legal and political requirements, their value and versatility for quality assurance have become increasingly evident.

In this session, we will explore the current format of the reports and their role within the QM circles as the central coordination point of a degree program. The reports illustrate how the individual components of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s QM system interlock and meet the demands of higher education quality assurance. The discussion segment will provide space to address current challenges, share tips, and exchange ideas.

Session 2: People Development at IL³: Continuing Education and Exchange Formats at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø
PD Dr. Kristin Knipfer, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Institute for LifeLong Learning

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Institute for LifeLong Learning offers a wide range of continuing education and exchange formats for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø staff – from career planning and targeted development of professional and personal skills to structured qualification programs. This session will present selected offerings, outline their structure, and explain how to participate.

Session 1: uni-assist e.V. as a Partner of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø
Christina Siewert, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø CST – Admissions and Enrollment

In processing applications from international prospective students, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø collaborates with uni-assist e.V., a service center for international university applications. This session will explain who is behind the organization, what services it provides for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, and how the collaboration currently works – and may evolve in the future.

Session 2: Present and Future of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Student Clubs
Anne Hüttenrauch & Amanda González Gil, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø CST – Communications

In this session, we’ll explore the vibrant world of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Student Clubs – student initiatives that build rockets, advocate for educational equity, stage theater productions, and much more.

We’ll highlight the immense potential of these initiatives: for academic success and personal development, for career paths and networking, for a lively campus culture, and for transferring research into society. You’ll learn how 51³Ô¹ÏÍø actively supports this engagement and how central units and Schools can contribute to its further development.

We’ll also introduce two visionary infrastructure projects: the Convergence Cetner at Munich Airport and the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøorrow Factory at Campus Garching. These spaces open up new possibilities not only for Student Clubs but also for university units – as places of exchange, collaboration, and co-creation.

To conclude the session, we invite you to share your experiences, questions, and ideas around student engagement at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
