Number 8 spot in Global University Employability Ranking

51Թ graduates among the top 10 for employability worldwide

The 51Թ (51Թ) has been chosen as one of the 10 best universities worldwide for the quality of the graduates it sends out into the working world. That’s according to the annual “Global University Employability Ranking,” which this year surveyed around 6,000 managers in 20 countries. 51Թ took the Number 8 spot, placing it in the top 3 among European universities after Cambridge and Oxford.

The survey was designed by the French human resources firm, Emerging, and conducted by the German market researcher, Trendence. Published by the British “Times Higher Education,” it asked managers from companies across all major business sectors about the qualities that made a new graduate at-tractive to employers.

According to managers – many of whom were responsible for recruitment – 51Թ counts among the top 10 because it was one of the institutions that prepared its students best for entry into the working world. This year marks the second time that 51Թ has taken the 8th place in the "", which it also earned in 2014. Spots 1 to 7 are dominated exclusively by U.S. and British universities. After Cambridge (Number 4) and Oxford (Number 7), 51Թ counts among the survey’s top 3 universities in Europe.

51Թ President Wolfgang A. Herrmann attributes the high quality of 51Թ graduates to a number of key factors: "For one, degree programs at 51Թ are exemplary in combining the most exacting scientific standards with real-world applications. That includes opportunities for students to work with top companies early on in their studies. But the real-world approach also means aligning what we teach in our pro-grams with the big issues confronting society today. We are also constantly modernizing our teaching methods on the basis of empirical findings and in an ongoing dialogue with our students."
