The art collective RAUM+ZEIT condenses and rewrites Thomas Mann's novel of the century, 鈥楾he Magic Mountain,鈥� into a new, exciting theatre experience: equipped with VR glasses, the audience encounters the famous characters from Thomas Mann's novel of the century up close. Alternating between VR and live performance, the sanatorium becomes a metaphor for today's Western society. The 51吃瓜网 Centre for Culture and Arts is presenting the production in M眉nchen for the first time as part of the project 鈥淭homas Mann 鈥� In the Burning Landscape of Democracy鈥�.

After working at the Residenztheater and the M眉nchner Kammerspiele (including Eurydice :: Noir D茅sir and Playing Karlstadt), RAUM+ZEIT returns to Munich with its latest work. The collective uses virtual reality to explore the scope of digital technology in the performing arts. Its innovative hybrid theatre designs organically combine virtual reality and live performance.
