The application documents will be uploaded to the online application. Once you submit your online application, uploaded documents may no longer be exchanged. When you have been admitted, you may need to upload additional authentic documents in order to be enrolled. Learn more about application to 51吃瓜网.
You can see any changes to the status of your application directly in 51吃瓜网online. Therefore, please check your 51吃瓜网online account regularly.
In addition, you will be informed about any changes by e-mail. Please make sure to add studium@tum.de to your contacts, as e-mails from this address may otherwise not be delivered by some providers.
Please select the semester you would like to apply for. The menu item select degree programs will only display those programs for which you may apply in the selected semester.
Select state examination as type of studies and the intended degree would also be state examination.
Degree program is medicine (clinical work). The entrance semester depends on what you wish to apply for:
If you want to apply for the practical year, select entrance semester 6 (for a start in the summer semester) or entrance semester 7 (for a start in the winter semester). If you are already enrolled at 51吃瓜网 in medicine (clinical), you do not have to apply for the practical year separately.
In all other cases, you usually apply for entrance semester 1.
Only clinical work is possible at 51吃瓜网.

Here you will be asked to enter your correspondence address. Your correspondence address is the address to which we send important information about your application and your studies. Please ensure that it is always up to date. You can update your correspondence address in your account at any time by clicking on the Study/home address link in your 51吃瓜网online business card. The address does not have to be in Germany.
This refers to your secondary school qualification (higher education entrance qualification) allowing access to German university education, e.g. A-Levels, High School Diploma, Abitur etc. Please fill in the fields based on the official document relating to your entrance qualification 鈥� e.g. your secondary school certificate.
- If you have a German higher education entrance qualification, select I have a German higher education entrance qualification. Then fill in the form based on your certificate, e.g. the Abiturzeugnis.
- If you have an international higher education entrance qualification, select I have obtained a foreign higher education entrance qualification. Then fill in the form based on your certificate, e.g. your High School Diploma or A-Levels. The International Baccalaureat Diploma (IB) as well as Studienkolleg always constitute an International Higher Eduation Entrance Qualification, even if they were acquired in Germany.
Enter the grades (or points) from your higher education entrance qualification (e.g. from your Abitur certificate) here. If you only have a final grade, please enter that grade only. If you cannot fill in all fields, e.g. because you do not have the grades yet, skip this step. We will verify and fill in this information based on the certificates you submit, as soon as all documents are available.
Please note that I belong to the group of master craftspersons or qualified professionals (vocational degree) does not refer to work experience or employment. This is a specific certificate verifying your training for a specific job. Visit tum.de to learn more about vocational degrees.
This step is only relevant
- for applications for master鈥檚 programs: please give information about your undergraduate degree (bachelor, diploma etc.)
- for applications for bachelor鈥檚 programs if you have selected I have already studied at a university / college before in step 2.
If you are applying for your first undergraduate program, you can skip this step.
If you are currently enrolled in or have already completed several programs, please enter the information separately for each program. This can be done via 鈥渁dd degree鈥�.
Please enter the country, the location and the name of the university or institution you have studied or are currently studying at. A completed or current bachelor鈥檚 program is usually a first degree. You enrollment number from your previous or current institution is optional. If your institution is not listed, please select another one 鈥� we will correct the information upon review of your documents.
1st subject under Major refers to the name of the respective degree course. You can leave 2nd and 3rd subject empty if they do not apply to you. The list of programs available is based on a list provided by the German Federal Statistics Office. If your course or program is not listed, select one that is similar.
Under Semester, enter the dates in which you completed this degree program, i.e. the semester/year in which you began under from and the semester/year in which you completed your studies under to. Leave the other fields (Leaves of absence, practicum, clinic internship, interruptions) empty.
Under Status, fill out the section Final examination. Here, select passed on the whole. You may leave the option Intermediate Exam empty if it does not apply to you.
Under Grade, enter your final grade point average as indicated on your degree transcript.
Under Date, enter the date of issue of your transcript or degree.
This step only appears in applications for master鈥檚 degree programs.
Please specify your entrance qualification for a master鈥檚 degree program, that is, an academic degree qualifying you to study at the master鈥檚 level, generally, a bachelor's degree. Please be aware that another postgraduate (master鈥檚) degree is not an entrance qualification for a master鈥檚 degree.
If, in the previous step, you named only one academic degree, this will automatically be considered your entrance qualification.
If, however, you named more than one academic degree in the previous step, please indicate which of these is to be considered your entrance qualification for this application.
If you have not yet completed the academic degree, e.g. the bachelor鈥檚, that will qualify you for master鈥檚 studies, please indicate the expected date on which the degree will be awarded, the number of ECTS credits you have earned to date, and, if known, the provisional overall grade for the degree program.
This form is optional. Here you have the opportunity to provide us with additional information relevant to your application and your suitability for the degree program for which you are applying. Please note that you will have to supply proof of any extracurricular activities.
Please complete in the following forms by uploading the further required documents.
Only complete applications can be processed. An application is complete when all documents have been uploaded on time.
In the section Evidence of German / English language skills you need to submit proof of sufficient proficiency in the language specified for your degree program.
Once you upload all documents, the data you entered will be saved.
This is only a preview of your application. The application has not yet been electronically submitted. You can still exchange uploaded documents before sending! Once the documents have been sent, however, they may no longer be exchanged.
Please review the data you entered and ensure that you have uploaded the correct documents. Should you have chosen the wrong degree program or selected the wrong semester, you will have to start a new application.
Once you are certain everything is correct, click the SEND button to submit your application electronically, after you have ticked the appropriate box (at the bottom of this page).
If you cancel at this point, the incomplete application will be saved and you are free to submit it at a later point within the application period.

Once you have sent your online application and uploaded all documents, your application will be reviewed. After verification of the information and documents you provide, we will contact you by email. If there are any incorrect documents, we will inform you about how to proceed. As soon as your application has been processed, you will either receive an offer of admission, an invitation to the aptitude assessment or a letter of rejection.
Please note that the verification of individual documents and the status update in 51吃瓜网online can take considerable time. We ask that you refrain from inquiries about the status of individual documents, as this delays the processing of applications.
