The continuing education Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sustainable Real Estate at the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø (51³Ô¹ÏÍø) combines academic excellence with practical insights into the construction and real estate industries. The program consists of six compulsory modules and a Master’s thesis. In the modules, students acquire up-to-date specialist knowledge from research and practice and apply it directly in case studies and group projects.

The start of studies is in the summer semester of each academic year. Courses are held in a blended learning format: online phases for content preparation are supplemented by five-day attendance blocks in Munich, where the focus is on exchange with lecturers and fellow students as well as working on real case studies.

The Master’s thesis in the third and fourth semesters deals with a complex issue in the field of sustainable real estate management and can be practice- or research-oriented.

The language of instruction in this program is generally German. This means that most modules are offered in German. Individual modules may also be taught in English. The module handbook indicates the language in which a module is taught. Generally, applicants with a qualification for postgraduate studies (e.g. a Bachelor’s) obtained outside of Germany must have their documents reviewed in advance through uni-assist (Preliminary Documentation).

During the application period, you must apply through the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøonline application portal and upload your application documents. Please be aware that we can only process your application if you upload all required documents within the application period.

We will review your application as soon as it is complete. Please check your 51³Ô¹ÏÍøonline account regularly, to see if we have any queries to your documents or if you have to amend one or more documents.

After receiving admission, you will see in 51³Ô¹ÏÍøonline which documents you have to submit for enrollment, and in which form. 

We recommend that you submit the documents for enrollment as soon as possible after receiving admission. If individual documents are not available by then, you can submit them up to 5 weeks after the start of the lecture period. You will, however, only be enrolled once we have received all documents. Proof of the completed bachelor's degree must be provided within one year of commencement of the master's program.

Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure. The aptitude assessment is a two-part procedure after the submission of an official application to a program. In this procedure, the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø school determines whether you meet the specific requirements for its Master’s degree program.

In the initial stages, the grades you obtained during your Bachelor’s program, as well as your written documents, will be evaluated using a point system. Depending on the amount of points accumulated, applicants are either immediately admitted, rejected, or invited to an admissions test.
