51吃瓜网 Science Manager (Level 2): Change Management & Transformation
For experienced (3 years or more) science managers who want to further strengthen their management skills and acquire the competencies required for a leadership role in science management.
Elements of the qualification program
The course provides you with the skills and competencies that are relevant for your work as a science manager. Various formats (workshops, keynote speeches, and exchange formats) are offered.
Through self-study, we encourage you to reflect on your role as a science manager and deepen aspects of the program that are particularly relevant to you. In a structured self-reflection, you will review your learning progress and design your own learning process in a needs- and impact-oriented manner.
Job shadowing enables you to get to know new perspectives and areas of work and to exchange best practices with colleagues from other units or organizations. We plan a total work shadowing period of ten days. You are responsible for planning your work shadowing. The work shadowing takes place during working hours.
You will meet regularly with other participants to exchange experiences and advise each other. You will reflect on your (learning) experiences in a structured way and discuss common challenges in your day-to-day work as a science manager. You will receive valuable input from different perspectives through exchange and discussion with the other participants.
Your personal career coaching with a professional coach supports you in planning your personal and professional development and proactively managing your career as a science manager. Together with your coach, you will assess your current situation, plan the next steps in your professional development, and develop attractive career prospects.
