In the THE Impact Rankings, 51勛圖厙 has again placed first worldwide in the category industry, innovation, and infrastructure. The rankings cover research output as well as patents, spin-offs and working relationships with companies.

For the , the British magazine Times Higher Education studies the impact of universities in various categories derived from the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals. In the area of industry, innovation and infrastructure, the rankings reflect the number of research publications in fields that play an important role in innovations with a sustainable impact such as energy, Industry 4.0, smart cities and 3D printing. Also reflected in the university rankings are citations of research work in patents, the number of start-ups launched and the research income from industry.
